The SpectroNet Collaboration Conferences (SCC) are a series which are addressing customers as well as researchers, developers and application engineers. SCCs are connecting actively research & development, products & services, marketing & sales as well as education & training for photonical sensors and systems for applications in industry, biology/medicine and daily life.
Photonical sensors and systems for applications in industry, biology/medicine and daily life
Place: Fraunhoferstraße 1, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany
The OCM-SpectroNet Collaboration Conference 2017, Karlsruhe will be held on 21.03.2017 in Karlsruhe, Germany in collaboration with the OCM Conference 2017 on 22.03.-23.03.2017 initiated by SpectroNet clusterpartner Fraunhofer IOSB.
The Fraunhofer-Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB) focuses its activities on the use of information and communication technologies in industrial applications. Practical areas are metrology, stochastic signals and systems, automatic pattern recognition and image processing, data processing, automation and man-machine systems. The business unit Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) develops and delivers systems for automatic image processing in industry. The most important applications are automatic inspection of blisters in the pharmaceutical industry, the automatic sorting of bulk materials, the inspection of surfaces and color measurements of granules. Automatic optical inspection (AOI) describes systems that are using imaging procedures for error reporting in industrial production of goods - from food and pharmaceutical manufacturing to electronic, automotive, aviation and aerospace industries.
The Karlsruhe Center for Material Signatures (KCM) is an association of Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT) and the business unit Automated Visual Inspection (AVI) of Fraunhofer IOSB. With modern analytical technologies the spectral information of industrial, biological and medical materials can be visualized. KCM identifies the specific spectral signatures of materials, no matter either for food, plastics or minerals. Specializations of KCM are automated solutions for sorting and concentrating of materials.
Karlsruhe, the city in the sunny south-west of Germany, famous for its fan-shaped historic street plan, close to the French border and surrounded by the beautiful countryside of the Black Forest, is a perfect place for conferences as well as for leisure time. Karlsruhe is easily accessible via train, motorway or plane (Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden). The Fraunhofer IOSB, which will host the collaboration forum, is located in walking distance to the heart of the city.
SpectroNet is an international collaboration cluster for photonical measurement engineering and quality assurance in Germany and worldwide. It expand and support activities of their clusterpartners in research & development, products & services, marketing & sales as well as education & training projects through open digital collaboration services and the open responsive cluster platform www.spectronet.de.
The conference language is English. All printed materials are in English.
We look forward to welcome you in Karlsruhe.
